About us

RAILS is an independent not-for-profit organisation that provides free legal advice, assistance and community education to refugees and migrants in vulnerable situations. We help them navigate their legal processes with the Department of Home Affairs, the Administrative Review Tribunal and the courts. Demand for our services far exceeds our resources so we are highly selective in determining who we assist.

Acknowledgement of land

We acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia, on whose land we live and work. We pay our respects to their culture, and to their continuing connection to land, waterways and community.
