About us

We are an independent not-for-profit organisation that provides free legal advice and assistance and community education to disadvantaged people. We advocate in cases of most need before the Department of Home Affairs, review tribunals and, to judicial review. Our services have a demand that far exceeds our resources and we take on only those highest priority cases with most merit.

Acknowledgement of land

We acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia, on whose land we live and work. We pay our respects to their culture, and to their continuing connection to land, waterways and community.
