TPV/SHEV Conversion One Year On: Legal and client wellbeing perspectives from QPASTT and RAILS

In this session, RAILS senior lawyer, Ben Carrick provides an update on what has occurred in TPV/SHEV Conversions over the last 14 months and where the process currently stands in terms of outstanding matters, legal issues and expected outcomes for those yet to be granted a ROSV. Increasingly, clients who are still awaiting a ROSV grant are showing deteriorating mental health and a reduced capacity to engage effectively in the visa process, while those who have been granted ROSVs often then find themselves dealing with limited prospects of family reunion, which impacts on their wellbeing. In the second part of the session, QPASTT Clinical Supervisors, Ros Dunne and Elham Rezaei explain why clients are struggling so much at this time, and how we as practitioners, can best support their engagement in the process.

This webinar brings CPD points for lawyers and migration agents subject to the rules of your state law society and MARA (agents note that it will change from a Category A workshop (WK1779-2) into a Category B seminar (SM708-2) if participant numbers are over 30).
