Doing legal work for refugees on temporary protection visas

Aimed at practitioners who do not usually work with refugee protection visas, this session will help you to practice effectively in this area while at the same time providing a vital community service.

In 2022 over 800 Safe Haven Enterprise Visas (SHEV) will expire in Queensland. These are people who have previously been accepted as refugees, but have to renew their visas every five years because they arrived by boat. While RAILS will assist those who cannot afford to pay a lawyer or migration agent, the majority will seek paid assistance with lodging a subsequent SHEV application.

Presented by experienced RAILS refugee lawyer Bernie Carrick, this webinar is a great opportunity to expand your business in this important area and assist an extraordinary, and vulnerable, client group.
