The Refugee and Immigration Legal Service (RAILS) is an independent not-for-profit organization specializing in refugee and immigration law, and works with volunteer lawyers, migration agents, students and other community members to provide a highly regarded service to disadvantaged people in need.

Availability for Evening Advice Sessions

Evening advice sessions are held every Monday and Wednesday door opens at 5:30pm, and provide a ‘drop-in’ service for people to obtain initial advice or referral on immigration and some general law matters. Migration advisers provide advice on immigration law and Solicitors provide advice on general law enquiries. The Session Co-ordinator is responsible for the management of the evening advice sessions.
At evening advice sessions some volunteers need QUALIFICATIONS:
• General Law Advisor - Practicing Certificate required Yes No
• Migration Advisor – MARA Registration required Yes No
• Evening Coordinator and Day Volunteers No qualifications required
